"Frost Flag" is a fictional historical war novel.
The snow line in the north collapsed, and the border towns fell. Refugees, remnants of the army, grain officials, doctors, rangers, surrendered generals and young military generals were all swept under the same broken flag by a defeat. They have no destiny or divine power, only grain trucks, wounded soldiers, frozen roads, dying fire, and the choices they have to make again and again.
Lu Chenzhou reorganized the scattered soldiers as a defeated army, Qin Zhaoye used an account book to record the names of the dead, Su Wanzhao divided medicine between life and death in the injury shed, Xie Changying learned to protect from a sharp young man, Chu Xiaolou carried the old pain in a frivolous manner, and Helan Tie found a home in the gap between the two clans. The enemies are strong, calm, and skilled in food routes, captures, rumors, and sieges. They are not stupid, and they never wait for the protagonist to grow.
This is not a story about victory. The city will fall, the troops will collapse, and the heroes will be injured, captured, and die; love is hidden in a copper coin, a red feather, and a water bag, restrained and heavy. War not only brings death, but also hunger, disease, betrayal, the reestablishment of order, and the collapse of old ideas.
The frost flag is not erected for the purpose of making a prince or singing a song of victory.
It only proves that in troubled times, there are always people who are willing to stay one more night for those who come after.
