[1v1 + marriage before love]
The Qi and Lin families arrange a marriage. Six months later, the couple holds their wedding.
The Lin family chooses Lin Zhirou, while the Qi family chooses its only heir. He has lived abroad for years, and rumors about him in City A are vague. Lin Zhirou is in love with someone else and doesn't want to marry him, so she cries and protests, demanding to call the wedding off. In the end, Lin Ruoran is made to take her place.
As a child, Lin Ruoran suffered a traumatic shock and lost her ability to speak. Before she even graduated from elementary school, her father locked her up at home and forbade her from going out. Her mother died that same year, and less than a week later, her father moved in with his mistress and Lin Zhirou.
Lin Ruoran has always had to tread carefully in the Lin household, and things are no different after she gets married.
Qi Luoheng is not a patient man. Whenever he asks Lin Ruoran something, she only nods or shakes her head. He already finds it hard to accept that his bride is mute, but it was his grandfather's wish, and he has no choice.
Gradually, as they spend more time together, Qi Luoheng begins to draw closer to her. He takes her to see doctors, helps her learn sign language, and encourages her to type out what she wants to say.
