A human boy with amnesia falls through a rift into Equestria.
He wakes by a river, unable to speak, and uses a twig to write a crooked “Bai” in the dirt. It is the only character he remembers, and the first name he has in this world.
From being welcomed by the residents of Ponyville to becoming a teaching assistant at the School of Friendship; from learning his first spell to mastering the union of light and darkness in a trial, he finds friends, a home, and someone he is willing to protect for the rest of his life.
This is a story about growing up, protecting others, and finding a response to what the world has given you.
This work is based on the world of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, with some original adjustments to character relationships. It preserves the core personalities of the original characters while adding plenty of original plotlines and characters.
Truthfully, the author began writing this book because of their lingering disappointment with the finale of My Little Pony. So here’s my promise: as long as even one reader still enjoys it, I will never stop updating.
