[Alternate history] [Imperial reform] [Military industry and technology] [Land and sea supremacy] [One heroine]
In the Western calendar year 1903, the second year of the Jingxian reign of the Great Xia.
In another world, the great powers are carving up East Asia. Here, the Great Xia Empire has replaced the Ming court as ruler of the Central Plains. By the early twentieth century, it has already industrialized, controls Yingzhou and Goryeo, and commands an army of a million and an ocean-going fleet.
Zhou Yuanhui is a transmigrator from the modern era. After becoming embroiled in a warship incident that shook the imperial court, he is forced away from the empire’s center of power and lies low in Yingzhou.
But taking one step back is how you move two steps forward.
He puts Yingzhou in order, establishes an academy of sciences, builds dreadnoughts, reforms the army and navy, breaks the financial clans’ monopoly, and checks the powerful courtiers.
Some call him a loyal minister devoted to the country, a savior who restored the empire’s fortunes. Others denounce him as a grave threat to the realm, wielding power over all under heaven.
But only he knows that a world war engulfing East and West is inevitable.
He has only one task: before the flames rise, give this mighty but aging empire a new backbone, so it can emerge from the sea of blood standing tall as the victor.

After seeing it now, I feel that the author's historical knowledge reserve is still good.
The author's writing is solid and the logical plot is clear. I couldn't stop reading it.
