I Asked You to Test the AI, Not to Date the CEO Online

Also known as: Mistaking the CEO for an AI Boyfriend in an Online Romance

Shen Bailu’s most mortifying moment in her life was mistaking her CEO for an AI boyfriend and flirting with him for six whole months.

The company was developing an AI, and the CEO assigned her to be its chief tester.

She set up the AI as a gentle older boyfriend and made sure to enjoy an online romance with it first.

But a system error made her mistake the CEO for her AI boyfriend!

“Call me ‘baby’ so I can hear it.”

“Send me a little treat before bed!”

“Why does the boss always wear blue shirts? They’re hideous.”

Gu Yunzhou turned around and threw every blue shirt in his wardrobe away.

“I really want a raise. I wish I could get five million right now!”

The very next day, she received notice of a raise.

By day, she was the cool-headed, capable Secretary Shen. By night, she was a flirtatious, sweet beauty.

She complained about her boss and flirted with the AI like crazy, all while waiting for the testing to succeed so she could claim the five-million-yuan bonus and take her seriously ill mother abroad.

Gu Yunzhou was the CEO of the Gu family business, aloof, abstinent, and uninterested in women.

One night, his cool-headed, capable secretary suddenly called him “baby.”

Her messages grew bolder and bolder. She sent selfies and came to him in tears whenever she felt wronged.

Gu Yunzhou: Could Secretary Shen have a secret crush on me?

Later, the technical department discovered a problem with the AI system.

That was when he found out that Secretary Shen had been mistaking him for the AI she was testing.

The “baby” she’d been calling wasn’t him at all.

The AI launched successfully.

Before Secretary Shen left the country, Gu Yunzhou stopped her. “You can have the bonus. You can have the job. And you can have me, too.”

Shen Bailu never expected that testing an AI would end with her giving herself away.
