Her Hand

When the law shields the wicked, they write the verdict with their own hands.

Shanghai, 1923. The younger sister of forensic doctor Ji Fuyi is brutally murdered by a serial killer, yet the culprit walks out of court with a smile. She resigns from her government post, assumes a new identity, and infiltrates the French Concession police force, not to solve cases, but to exact revenge with her own hands.

But one person alone is no match for the task. She recruits three women: the seemingly gentle headmistress Zhu Xieheng, who is actually the “Black Widow” controlling the city’s entire intelligence network; the glamorous dancer Liu Liexiao, who is the most lethal assassin at the Paramount; and the seemingly meek widow of a wealthy businessman, Su Wuwan, who secretly controls Shanghai’s financial lifeline.

Four women, one secret alliance: “Her Hand.”

Their first target is the serial killer who escaped justice. But when he is mysteriously silenced, they discover an even vaster web of criminality behind him: corrupt police officials, a Chinese Concession councilman trafficking in people, business magnates colluding with the Japanese military...

Those the law cannot punish, they will. Those the law cannot kill, they will.

This is not a story about a “strong female lead,” but an epic about a group of “wicked women.” With scalpels, intelligence networks, beauty, and capital, they weave a web of extrajudicial justice through the darkness of Republican-era Shanghai.

Every case delivers a twist, and every chapter ends with a hook. From the disappearance of a woman working in a flour mill, to corruption in the police force, to a massacre that rocks the entire city, you’ll see how they start from nothing, plan their every move, and send one deserving criminal after another straight to hell.

A reverse mystery that reveals the killer from the start. The real question is: can they win?
