[Sweet-faced, clear-headed beauty x possessive, love-obsessed heir]
When Xia Yunxing wakes up, she has become Gu Yanchi's gold-digging ex-girlfriend.
In the original story, Gu Yanchi refuses to marry the Lin family's daughter, the original heroine.
His grandfather strips him of his inheritance and kicks him out of the Gu family, leaving him with nothing.
The original owner looks down on the male lead for being down on his luck and unable to spend money on her, and refuses to keep struggling alongside him.
She secretly takes the 300,000 yuan the male lead borrowed to start a business and runs off with the man she's cheating with.
After Gu Yanchi regains control of the Gu family, he immediately tracks down his gold-digging ex-girlfriend, sells her to a remote mountain village, and makes her the wife of a fifty-year-old man.
The ex-girlfriend is never well-fed or rested. Her husband abuses her, and day after day, she has to toil in the fields under the blazing sun.
Driven nearly mad by the abuse, she accidentally falls off a cliff while trying to escape, leaving no trace of her body.
Xia Yunxing doesn't want to be sold off to a remote mountain village. She doesn't want to die without a trace.
She devotes herself to staying by the male lead's side.
When the male lead is down and out, she comforts him and encourages him to pull himself together.
The heir has no money?
She works hard to support the household and helps him start a business.
People call her a gold-digger and say she is only pretending to stay by the male lead's side.
She just smiles and answers their mockery with her actions.
Just when Xia Yunxing thinks everything is going to turn out for the better, fate plays a cruel joke on her.
The male lead gets into a car accident and loses his memory.
His grandfather blames her for everything, throws her some money, and tells her to get as far away as possible.
Then the original heroine shows up and demands that she give up her status as the male lead's girlfriend.
Xia Yunxing just wants to get out of there as fast as she can and study abroad.
After the male lead regains his memories, he searches for her all over the world like a madman.
