Underworld Warlord: The Night That Never Ends

This isn’t The Knockout. It’s Underworld Kingpins, an original story about clashes between crime bosses and criminal police fighting to bring them down.

Twenty years ago, I was a dockworker hauling sacks.

To protect my younger brother, I smashed a bully across the bridge of the nose with an iron hook.

The police cuffed me and said, “Violence won’t solve anything.”

I asked, “Then who’s going to look after the poor?”

Twenty years later, I became the underground emperor of Jiangzhou.

That policeman chased me for a lifetime, from black hair to white.

He handed me an arrest warrant. “This time, you can’t get away.”

I made him a cup of tea. “Captain Shen, I’ve been waiting for you for twenty years.”

In court, the judge asked me, “Do you regret it?”

I turned to look at him in the gallery and smiled.

“I regret not meeting him sooner. Maybe then, we’d both have lived different lives.”

Anti-crime storm × underworld rise × duel between two heroes

This is a tragedy of an era defined by choices:

Some choose to sink into darkness. Others choose to burn themselves up.
