After My Best Friend and I Transmigrated to Ancient Times

[Two heroines, each with a love interest; bickering frenemies; goofy comedy; mystery-solving elements]

Young comic artist Tu Shengsheng and her best friend Jiang Ruochuan accidentally transmigrate into the comic she's been serializing. The ridiculous part is that her no-nonsense cop friend becomes the leading lady of a rebirth story, armed with a revenge plot and ready to beat up her scumbag father and trample her stepmother, while Tu Shengsheng herself ends up as an obscure, nameless background character.

If word of this got out, the whole industry would laugh at her!

A dilapidated hut, younger siblings, and a tough girl: Tu Shengsheng is speechless. This is the worst possible start. It turns out that even in ancient times, all a comic artist can do is scrape by drawing pictures.

Meanwhile, her best friend Jiang Ruochuan, a career-driven, capable woman through and through, is trapped in a romance story where she's surrounded by gorgeous men and everyone has been turned into an idiot with love on the brain. She's at her wit's end, fending off men showing off like peacocks and chasing away women who keep picking fights. It's more mentally and physically exhausting than going to work.

Who ever said transmigrating into a book was a good thing?

Jiang Ruochuan: “Bestie, I can't act out this awful plot for another day!”

Tu Shengsheng: “...” She is frantically drawing to make ends meet.

If she doesn't earn money, the whole family will go hungry.

So the two hit it off and joined forces, determined to find a way out of this wretched world of paper and ink.

But fate had other plans. A tangled, shifting conspiracy quietly began to unfold. In the bloodstained divine capital, a terrifying mystery case and eerie cries from a Buddhist temple seemed to be pushing everything beyond Tu Shengsheng's control!

See how these two modern women, so different in temperament, find their own way forward in an unfamiliar dynasty.
