There are countless "space-time cracks" in the universe. These cracks are not passages through time, but "memory fragment fields" left after the demise of different civilizations - floating in them are the technological remains of that civilization, cultural symbols, and even emotional fragments of consciousness. The protagonist is the only "time and space restorer" on the earth. His duty is not to cross the cracks, but to enter the cracks to salvage the fragments, repair and splice them, restore them into complete civilization archives, and then launch the archives into the universe through the "civilization anchor point" to prevent the complete annihilation of these civilizations.
But there are "devouring bodies" hidden in the cracks - monsters condensed by the negative emotions (war, despair, greed) when civilization collapsed. They will attack the restorers and even try to penetrate into the real world through the cracks. The protagonist's mission is not only to "archive" civilization, but also to purify the negative energy in the cracks and prevent the phagocytosis from leaking.
