Yixiu: Locked Away in the Deep Palace, Waiting for Honghui

[Empresses in the Palace + awakening + strong heroine + protecting her son and helping him ascend + punishing every villain]

Yixiu has two wishes: first, to win the emperor’s lasting affection and remain secure as empress; second, for her beloved son Hong Hui to return and once again bring her joy at her side.

But after a nightmare in the dead of night, her young son’s words, “We’ll meet again someday,” rekindle her obsession, and she begins plotting at every turn.

Had she known from the start that fate could not be defied and that emperors were fickle, perhaps she would not have spent half her life paving the way for someone else.

But Hong Hui’s repeated pleas in her dreams still ring in her ears. Her sole obsession in this life is to protect her son and see him rule the empire.

After the selection of new consorts ends, the empress of Jingren Palace is known for her gentle, dignified manners and kindness to the women of the harem. Everyone praises her as a model empress.

No one knows that in private, she is ruthless and decisive, cutting off the bloodlines of the harem one by one. With every scheme, she lays another stepping stone, bearing a lifetime of sins and dark machinations as she crosses a palace strewn with bones. She protects Hong Hui at every turn, guarding him all the way to the throne.

“Every scheme and every venomous method in the palace is for the vast realm my son will rule one day.”
