This is the story of two little miseries setting out together and growing up side by side.
When Qu Xiaonuan is seven, her parents leave to hunt demons and never return. She lives on her own, practicing magic and preparing to avenge them when she grows up.
A few months later, a foolish little boy comes to her home. His whole family has been killed, and he has come to seek refuge with her father.
And so Qu Xiaonuan begins a life of practicing every day and raising a child.
Years later, during a demon-hunting mission, the boy accidentally reveals his true form. He is a demon too!
Afraid his big sister won’t accept him, the boy runs away and stays gone for four years.
When they meet again four years later, he learns that his sister has been looking for him all along. During those years apart, he has also realized that his feelings for her are not entirely innocent.
No angst.
Content warning: The pacing is very slow at first. The heroine is more doting toward the hero, and she is kind without being a pushover.
