Xia Changsheng, an ordinary radio tuner, works in front of old equipment late every night. Until that phone call from twenty years ago rang - and his own voice came from inside: "Don't listen to that tape." It's too late. From then on, he could "hear" the patterns of ghosts - the sound became his gift and the most vicious curse. In this world, ghosts cannot be killed, they can only be seen through the rules. All supernatural events will leave an "echo" after death: a recording, a frequency, a murmur. Hear the echo and get locked. What's even more terrifying is that a being that can imitate anyone's voice - the "Thousand-Faced Monster" - is devouring the entire city through the radio. Xia Changsheng was forced to enter the "lonely sound space" left by the ghost controllers of the Republic of China, looking for seven sound props. But every time he uses his ability, he loses a voice memory: the first time he calls mom, the first time he says I love you... Until he forgets who he is. When the "Great Reverberation" comes across the entire region and evil ghosts resurrect from every frequency, Xia Changsheng faces the final choice—— Erase all the sounds in the world, or turn yourself into a ghost?
