Key to the Abyss

On the day he was born, the Heavenly Dao passed its judgment: "Host of the Demonic Seed, your entire clan must be executed."

Lin Jingzhe is the orphaned son of Li Tianmo, the greatest demon in the world. The Heaven-Slaying Demonic Seed is sealed inside him, making everyone fear him and the Heavenly Dao regard him as a thorn in its side.

His mother, Shen Nianjun, the most dazzling traitor the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets ever had, sacrificed her soul to give him a sliver of hope for the future. She left him only a lotus ring and told him to live until the Tomb of the Gods opened.

But the Heavenly Dao never expected that the ring was no keepsake. It was a key. After the Demonic Seed devoured all the deathly energy in the Frozen Abyss, it fully awakened. The bloodline of the Heavenly Demon remade itself along his meridians: a broken spear became a sword, rusted iron bloomed with a keen edge, and a Heaven-Slaying Broken Sword sealed for three hundred years opened its eyes in his palm.

The nine levels of the Tomb of the Gods held nine demonic souls. Each level was a new realm of death, guarded by a servant of the Heavenly Dao. When Lin Jingzhe stepped onto the first level with his sword, two saintesses followed behind him: one from the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets, cold to the bone and bound to him by a life pact; the other from the southern frontier's Wu tribe, so fierce she'd risk her life to stand between him and a blade.

The Heavenly Dao wanted him dead. So he would take this Heaven-Slaying Sword and carve the Heavenly Dao's verdict from the past out, line by line, and rewrite it.
