The Black Moonlight of the Shepherds in the Game

Lin Wu has known since childhood that she is mentally ill. She can hear the voices of “gods” that no one else can hear, and see beings from the void that no one else can see.

Because her mental stability score was too high, Lin Wu was forcibly taken into the Fifth Institute to have it purged before she could even graduate from college.

After leaving the mental hospital, Lin Wu tries to avoid being dragged back by taking odd jobs in the slums, pretending to be normal and living like a rat hiding in a gutter.

But her illness returns anyway.

She goes back to the Fifth Institute, only to be told that this time she’ll serve as its cleaner, entering the game to kill the heretics inside.

The Fifth Institute expects to gain another obedient dog. But before long, a butcher feared by all emerges in the game, and even the Institute’s administrators begin switching sides.

Sitting in the Fifth Institute’s highest-ranking administrator’s chair, Lin Wu spreads her hands and says helplessly:

“I’ve already deleted my account. If you still can’t beat me, that’s your problem, right?”

I don’t think it’s scary, but here’s a warning anyway: ensemble cast, the heroine needs time to grow stronger at first, she isn’t a cold-hearted character, her morals are questionable, there is no male lead, and there’s no competition between women over men.
