Chariot Lieutenant

This is a long military novel based on the chariot unit of the Chinese Expeditionary Force. The protagonist Teng Zhoujian, a son of a Hunan farmer, gave up his status as a military policeman to avenge his brother and was admitted to the tank training class. He flew over the hump to Ramgarh, India for training. Under the rigorous training of the US military instructors, he grew from an ordinary private to a second lieutenant commander of the Sherman tank C-11 crew. He formed a life-and-death vehicle crew with vehicle repairman Jiang Maocai, philosophy student Zhou Fuli, silent gunner Wang Jinsheng, farm boy He Mancang and others, and fought all the way from the Hukham Valley to Yangon. In thrilling battles such as anti-tank trenches, meat bomb attacks, urban street fighting, and highway ambushes, he witnessed the cruelty of the battlefield in northern Myanmar and the tenacity of human nature from the unique perspective of a tank soldier. At the end of the war, the six people scattered across the sky, and the tank numbered "Go Home" was full of bullet marks and memories, forever parked in the depths of history.
