I Am Lu Renjia, and I’m Going to Become a Hero!

[Ensemble cast, with each volume expected to have its own independent protagonist]

“I am Lu Renjia, here to apply for the adventurer position!”

“Very well, Mr. Passerby A.”

“Not Passerby! I'm Lu Ren! Lu as in land, Ren as in benevolence, Jia as in the greatest under heaven! Jia, the number one!”

“Very well, Mr. Passerby A. The number one Passerby A.”

Lu Renjia firmly believes he is the next hero of the Jieyuan Continent.

He has a “protagonist halo,” a real halo he can summon above his head, but most of the time it only produces all sorts of strange weapons: a back scratcher (comfort level: max), a frying pan (never burns food), legendary dried salted fish (stink level: 999), and an ordinary-looking iron sword.

So what if it's a back scratcher? A back scratcher is a weapon too!

So what if it's a frying pan? You can smack people with it!

A true hero never gives up easily!

I will make sure everyone knows

My name is Lu Renjia, not Passerby A!

I am the man destined to become a hero!

‘That's about enough. Let's start another round of version testing.’

‘You got it, starting right away!’
