A top student from the National Defense University wakes up to discover that he has become Lin Chong, the Leopard Head from Water Margin!
Even worse, He Cheng is holding a blade to his own throat, while Song Jiang is forcing him to kill himself for the sake of “the grand plan to win an imperial pardon.”
To hell with that pardon!
Lin Chong raises his spear, tears up the imperial decree in front of everyone, saves He Cheng, and leads Lu Zhishen, Wu Song, and the other heroes in breaking out of the military camp and returning to Liangshan!
Song Jiang wants to kneel, but Lin Chong insists on standing. The court wants to abandon them, but he insists on fighting for his place.
Crude gunpowder, rammed-earth fortifications, hot-air balloon reconnaissance... Modern military knowledge crushes the ancient battlefield!
The Liao cavalry? Lure them into an ambush and wipe them out. The imperial pursuit? Break them apart and bring them to heel. The Jin army marches south? Perfect timing to take over the empire!
When the realm is shattered and the Zhao Song court has fallen into decadence, the Chenqiao Mutiny will be the moment to found the Great Liang dynasty!
[High-octane battles · Power struggle · Alternate history · Ensemble cast]
This isn’t a tragedy about accepting an imperial pardon. It’s a story of defying fate and changing one’s destiny!
