Chen Ye transmigrated into the world of Strange Tales years ago, but never amounted to anything. It was only when the painted-skin demon next door dug out Scholar Zhou's heart that he fled in panic to Mount Lao and joined Shangqing Palace as a laborer.
On his first day chopping wood and hauling water, a voice rang out in his mind:
“Promotion System loaded. Employee name: Chen Ye. Organization: Mount Lao Corporation. Position: Janitor (Intern). Probation period: three months.”
The System thinks he's working for a modern company, so it gives him performance targets, makes him clock in, and hands out starter packs. Chen Ye looks at the performance panel: “Haul eight loads of water (100%), points +1.”
At the Taoist temple, he has to chop wood and haul water around the clock. Outside it, there are demons and ghosts.
This workplace is not easy to survive in...
I stayed up late to watch it, and I had to remind myself of the five-star update. I had childhood memories of watching Liao Zhai. Quite interesting
