Love After Reuniting With the Champion

Lin Yi is a legendary assault player on the international stage. After winning three consecutive championships, the aloof beauty suddenly announced that she was returning to China. While everyone wondered what she would do next, she went straight to her enemy’s old team.

“...Nothing interesting to share. He and I are just acquaintances. No, we’re not on good terms. And I refuse to answer any questions about him...”

A comment popped up beside her: “How do you feel watching this interview now?”

Lin Yi watched the interview on her computer with a calm expression, then glanced at the comment. A faint smile tugged at her lips. Her fingers tapped the trinket on the desk as she stole an occasional glance at the man next door.

“I feel pretty good.”

Yan Chi was once a prodigy on China’s professional esports circuit. Then, three years ago, he abruptly disappeared from the pro scene and had to make ends meet by playing on other people’s accounts and taking whatever jobs he could find.

Now that he had returned to the public eye, his former team was reuniting, not only to make up for the choice they had made back then, but also to pursue their dream.

After finishing his ranked match, he quietly opened her stream and watched for a while before typing in the chat: “Watching that made me feel awful. Will you give me a chance to make it up to you?”

Make it up to her?

Lin Yi narrowed her eyes before replying, “Win a championship, and I’ll think about it.”

The road to the championship was also a road to redemption.

They both knew that what lay ahead was more than just formidable opponents. There were also wounds that had never healed in three years, and an unsolved case capable of destroying her career.
