Father, Don't Panic. Your Son Has Brought an Army Back to the Capital to Fulfill His Duty

Ning Zheng transmigrates into the Great Xuan Dynasty and becomes its most despised Ninth Prince, confined in the cold palace. Framed from the start, he is forced to go to the bitterly cold northwest as the Crown Prince’s “military supervisor.”

The court officials laugh at him for going to his death. The emperor breathes a sigh of relief, unaware that this is exactly what Ning Zheng wants!

In his previous life, he was a top military strategist. Now, free of the capital’s quagmire, he lets loose in his fief.

You’re fighting each other in court? I’m refining green salt in the desert and making glass, quietly growing richer than the nation!

The foreign cavalry boast that they’re invincible? I’ll craft firearms by hand, build divine cannons, and train an army of steel!

Three years later, the foreign tribes invade in force. The court is routed, and officials flee in panic.

Just when the world has given up hope, Ning Zheng arrives at the city gates with 300,000 soldiers armed with firearms. His modern weapons bombard the battlefield, blasting the enemies of the cold-steel age to pieces!

As the emperor exults and issues an order to reclaim his military authority, Ning Zheng instead has three thousand cannons set up outside the capital:

“Father Emperor, I’m sorry to have alarmed you! Your son has brought 300,000 troops back to the capital solely to protect you and fulfill his filial duty. And while I’m at it... I’ll clear out the treacherous officials in the court and shoulder the burden of ruling this realm for you!”
