Shh! The Regent’s Consort Is Poisonous. Don’t Mess with Her

Lin Mengxi, born into a reclusive modern family, is killed by her biological younger sister and her fiance, who conspire against her. Her soul transmigrates to the fictional Eastern Dynasty.

On the way back to the capital, she comes across a masked man surrounded by assassins in black. She was only planning to watch, but the assassins attack her and her maidservants, too.

Lin Mengxi is instantly furious. Does she look like a pushover? With a single dose of poison, she takes them all down. They picked a fight with her, so surely she can rob them in return, right?

She strips the assassins of everything they have, snatches the masked man's jade pendant, and strolls away.

Little does she know that the masked man is the emperor's Ninth Imperial Uncle, the regent of the dynasty. He soon investigates who dared steal his jade pendant.

When she sees the regent, whose power is unrivaled, Lin Mengxi loses her nerve. Then she learns by chance that he's been poisoned and says she can cure him. Only then does the regent spare her life.

As time goes by, the regent is captivated by Lin Mengxi's every move and falls in love with her without realizing it. But after being hurt in her past life, Lin Mengxi has no faith in love.

He pursues, she flees, but she has nowhere to run...
