Irresistible Curiosity

A cold, restrained wizard story, following an overworked office drone and compulsive striver on a hard-core path of study in a magical world. No golden finger, no bloodline cheat, only endless curiosity and the truth painstakingly carved out, stroke by stroke, within the rules.

Truth is not on paper. It lies in the grooves on a sand table, smoothed over countless times and carved anew.
