The Daoist Comes Down from the Mountain: I've Got This World Covered

Lin Zhao, a young Daoist from Kunlun, was swindled by his master. His temple was blown up, and the old Daoist fled, leaving him saddled with debts spanning all three realms and a cryptic parting message: You were never mortal to begin with.

New to the mortal world, he mistakes a high-speed train for an earth dragon and runs into Su Wan, an internet celebrity. Before long, he stumbles upon one bizarre urban case after another. The underworld is already caught up in workplace rat races: the Heibai Wuchang wear suits to work, and Meng Po has become a delivery manager. The Celestial Masters' Mansion dismisses him as a self-taught outsider, while the Thirteenth Bureau issues him tickets day in and day out.

With no System and no sign-in rewards, he relies on ancestral talismans and folk Daoist arts to navigate the worlds of yin and yang. As he repays his debts and helps restless spirits move on, he digs deeper into the secrets of his origins. When portals to the supernatural open across the globe, he finally learns that his unreliable master was an ancient powerhouse, and that he is destined to become humanity's guardian.
