Sha Wujing’s Journey to the West Diary

While everyone else is busy fighting monsters and becoming gods on the journey to the Western Heaven to fetch the scriptures, Sha Wujing crouches by the roadside and secretly keeps a diary. The world knows him only as the quiet, honest, dependable team player carrying the luggage. But open his journal and you'll find nothing but inside scoops and snarky complaints: Big Brother Sun Wukong throws monkey tantrums every day, then runs off after causing trouble and leaves me to clean up the mess. Second Brother Zhu Bajie is greedy and lazy. Whenever a monster appears, he starts thinking about dividing up the luggage and heading back to Gao Village, and he keeps sneaking bites of the dry rations hidden in our packs. Tang Sanzang is blind to the truth and constantly falls for monsters' tricks. He starts chanting the Tightening Spell at the drop of a hat, leaving Sha Wujing caught between master and disciples and taking flak from both sides. Carrying the luggage, watching the white horse, and cleaning up after the other three are just part of everyday life. There are no earth-shaking tribulations here, just hilarious complaints about trivial matters. There are no epic battles against demons, only the absurd daily lives of the scripture-fetching team hidden beneath the glory of their pilgrimage.
