Gu Pan transmigrates into the body of a princess of Great Liang sent to marry into a rival kingdom. The moment she opens her eyes, Shen Du, the enemy kingdom's feared eunuch lord, holds a sword to her throat.
Her predecessor was ordered to assassinate him, but Gu Pan is a modern office worker who can barely hold a knife.
To stay alive, Gu Pan grabs Shen Du's sleeve and confesses through her tears on the spot:
"My husband, I'm not trying to kill you. I love you so much I can't help myself!"
Shen Du knows she's talking nonsense, yet he wants to see just how long she can keep up the act.
From being poisoned on their wedding night, to the Empress Dowager's gift of soup, to deadly plots within the palace, Gu Pan turns every test, humiliation, and poison scheme into proof that "I love my husband."
All she wants is to live until tomorrow.
But the cold-blooded, celibate powerbroker villain seems to have taken her seriously.
So pretty! Super funny
