Late one night, office worker Ma Cheng stumbles upon a battle between experts. For no apparent reason, he is forced to accept a forbidden three-star Spirit Card, the Soul-Devouring Freak Doll. His enemies also mark him for tracking, turning him into a spare vessel they can harvest at any moment.
The card survives on negative emotions, eroding his mind day and night. If it isn't fed enough, it will devour its Host's soul. One wrong move, and he could be completely corrupted and transformed into a monster.
With nowhere else to turn, Ma Cheng joins the official Anomaly Cleanup Squad.
