Food blogger Su Jinnian unexpectedly transmigrates into the past and becomes Su Xiaoman, an ugly peasant girl with a birthmark on her face, which is later removed. After her engagement is called off, she resolves to change her fate with her own hands. Drawing on her modern culinary knowledge and business sense, she starts out selling snacks from a street stall and gradually builds her own “Jinji” food empire. Along the way, she meets Shen Yanzhou, a scholarly tutor who seems aloof but is devoted beneath the surface.
