Transmigrating to 1937 to Find the Resistance

In 1937, the Battle of Shanghai fell apart as Japanese forces launched a surprise landing at Jinshanwei.

Modern special forces soldiers Lei Zhan and his teammate Qin Zheng accidentally transmigrated to the front lines of a chaotic era while carrying out a mission.

Drawing on the top-secret historical archives stored in their minds, the two immediately identified Cheng Ming, a Communist underground operative embedded in the Military Statistics Bureau.

They brought modern special forces infiltration and ambush tactics to the old battlefield, helping the beach defenders inflict heavy losses on the Japanese landing force. They then rushed to support Rao Guohua’s Sichuan Army and joined forces to wipe out the brutal Kunizaki Detachment.

After shedding blood and earning their honors, the two had only one goal: use Cheng Ming’s connections to find the Party organization and join the cause of saving the nation.

But Cheng Ming, who was on an undercover mission, repeatedly tried to persuade them to join the Military Statistics Bureau.

With the faction-ridden bureau on one side and the unwavering red faith in their hearts on the other, how would these two transmigrated special forces soldiers stay true to their convictions?

Statement:

The novel’s portrayal of intelligence agencies and military and political factions during the Republic of China era criticizes only the institutional failings of the old authoritarian regime. It does not condemn all Nationalist soldiers or patriotic intelligence personnel who fought against the Japanese.
