A modern girl dies unexpectedly, and the Romance System No. 1001 comes to her of its own accord, demanding that she bind herself to it and complete a mission: to become immortal companions with Nezha, the Great Deity of the Three Altars and the Seas from mythology.
After being reborn as a white lotus, she successfully takes human form and becomes Taiyi Zhenren's disciple, learning the ways of cultivation. By chance, she meets Sun Wukong, trapped beneath Five Finger Mountain. The two become sworn siblings, and from then on, the Great Sage is always there to protect her.
The heroine likes Nezha very much, but only as an idol. At first, she is just trying to complete her mission, but after spending day after day together, she gradually falls for him. With tenderness and sincerity, she slowly melts Nezha's cold, proud defenses. They fall in love with each other and, in the end, stay together, beginning a beautiful love story.
