Chen Wang received a mysterious letter from his family and returned to his hometown of Yuhe Town, where he had vague memories, to inherit the family business. He soon discovered that the old houses in the town only hung lanterns late at night, and where the lights illuminated, there were figures of people who should have passed away. After taking over the identity of "Night Watchman", he must light seven lanterns every night, between the whispers of the dead and the secrets of the living, to uncover the past of this ancient town that was submerged by the river.
