The main cast includes a good-for-nothing but overbearing second young mistress of the Nine-Phoenix Clan; a down-and-out dragon clan orphan suffering from a terrible curse; the short-lived new sect leader of the human race; and a headstrong, unlucky beast-taming girl who loves getting into trouble.
