Journey to the West: It All Starts with Convincing Tang Sanzang

[A radical Journey to the West retelling] [Female Tang Monk] [System power fantasy] [Dual cultivation to change fate] [The Eighty-One Tribulations turned demonic] [Recruiting Sun Wukong] Modern young man Lin Mo unexpectedly transmigrates to the eve of the Journey to the West calamity. He discovers that Tang Monk is not Xuanzang as depicted in the original, but Tang Yuechan, a woman in her tenth reincarnation as Jin Chanzi. Cool and breathtakingly beautiful, she bears a faint golden cicada mark between her brows, yet the Buddhist sect has secretly turned her into a “vessel for the Nine-Turn Golden Cicada Heart,” meant to suppress the Chaotic Heavenly Demon. Lin Mo activates the System and forms a soul bond with Tang Yuechan, gaining the Nine-Turn Golden Body Art, Chaotic Demon Eyes, resistance to demonic influence, and the ability to seize destiny. He becomes the only variable in the Journey to the West calamity to escape the chessboard of the Heavenly Dao. The original Eighty-One Tribulations all turn demonic: the Little White Dragon grows feral and attacks its master, Zhu Bajie becomes half corpse and half demon, Sha Wujing turns into a bloodthirsty fiend, and Sun Wukong is corrupted by demonic energy into the Demon Ape beneath Five Elements Mountain. Lin Mo refuses to follow the original script or serve as a tool for the Buddhist sect to escort the scriptures. Instead, he purifies demonic calamities, recruits mutated allies, and seizes the destiny of the calamity at every turn. Guanyin appears compassionate while secretly raising the Black Lotus Boy, plotting to take the Nine-Turn Golden Cicada Heart. Tathagata invokes the greater good of the Three Realms to treat Tang Yuechan as a sacrifice. The Heavenly Court, Buddhist sect, demons, and Daoist sect all have their own agendas, and the Three Realms’ game of chess spirals out of control. When the truth about Mount Lingshan comes to light, Tang Yuechan awakens the memories of Jin Chanzi and learns that she has been a vessel for the Buddhist sect’s sacrifice to the Heavenly Demon ever since birth. She abandons her Buddhist cultivation and rebels against Mount Lingshan alongside Lin Mo. Guanyin summons the Chaotic Heavenly Demon, the Buddhas are corrupted, and the Three Realms collapse. Lin Mo fuses his Nine-Turn Golden Body, Pangu's Essence Blood, and Chaotic Demon Eyes with Tang Yuechan’s Nine-Turn Golden Cicada Heart. Together with Sun Wukong, Yang Jian, Zhen Yuanzi, Taishang Laojun, Bull Demon King, and others, he leads an alliance against the demons, ultimately suppressing the Heavenly Demon and establishing a new order in the Three Realms.
