Under the Torreya Tree

This novel is based on real-life stories that I walked alone for two hours in the old forests of southern Anhui Province in 2001. I wrote a report of several thousand words at that time, which was published in many newspapers. Later, I conducted many in-depth local interviews based on the main content, and adapted it into a 30-episode TV series. Anhui Film Group pre-approved the project and announced it on the national radio and television, but no investment was found, and the project was aborted. Later, he wrote the movie script "Legend of the Mountains" and won the award in the China Arts Light and Shadow Cup Film Script Competition held in Anhui Province for national participation. Later it was written into a novel version. The story tells the legendary experience of a couple in the mountains of southern Anhui, who were childhood sweethearts until they got married at the age of 82 or 84. The ups and downs in the process were mixed with the changes of the times and the unique rural customs and folk customs in the mountains of southern Anhui, as well as the happy ending that can only be achieved by reform and opening up. It is profound and sharp, sad and poignant, and a century-old reconciliation makes people moved.
