Chen Xuanming: A paranormal investigator in his previous life, now Uncle Jiu’s last disciple.
Uncle Jiu: There’s nothing wrong with this disciple of mine, except that he has more secrets than I do.
Su Wan: He said he’d come back, so I’ll wait.
Changshengzi: He is the most perfect creation I ever made, and my greatest mistake.
It all begins with keeping watch at the mortuary. He gathers the Nine Mysteries, suppresses the Corpse King, and seals the Other Shore.
But on the day all nine Mysteries come together, Chen Xuanming sees the truth at the end of time:
He was the one who opened the road between Yin and Yang. He was also the one who sent the Reverse Mystery back.
This is a closed loop spanning a thousand years, and he is its sole author.
