Seventh Master Li ran into danger while exploring a tomb. When he woke up, he found himself an unwelcome visitor in Republican-era Changsha.
He had never wanted to get involved in the affairs of the Old Nine Gates.
But some trouble can't be avoided.
The ancient tomb collapsed, and a burst of white light exploded.
A familiar figure stumbled out, covered in wounds, his eyes red and swollen.
“Li Cu!” Wu Xie rushed over and pulled him into his arms, his voice trembling. “I finally found you.”
Li Cu didn't move or push him away.
After a moment, he spoke. “You're crazy.”
Wu Xie loosened his embrace a little and looked into his eyes.
“I've been crazy for a long time.”
Later, someone asked Li Cu if he wanted to go back.
He glanced at the person beside him.
“Wherever he is, that's where I'll be.”
Together, they investigate the secrets of time and space and search for a way back to the present day...

The obsession is as deep as the abyss. I know that I am drinking poison to quench my thirst, but I enjoy it as if it is sweetmeat.
