Siheyuan: The Sky Cleared on the Day Yan Jiekang Was Born

In the spring of 1951, a new family moved into the front courtyard of Number 95 Nanluoguxiang. Yan Bugui's family of four settled into the west wing. His wife fell and was taken to the hospital, where she gave birth to a six-pound, eight-ounce baby boy. Yan Bugui named his son Kuang, meaning bright and open. The sky cleared as soon as the baby was born. Yan Jiekang felt utterly confused. In his previous life, he had been an office worker, and a flash of blue light had made him lose consciousness. When he opened his eyes again, he was a newborn baby. Heaven must have thought he was too lonely on his own. In this life, he would start over from the beginning.
