Newlywed, Madly in Love

Marriage first, love later + slow-burn romance + sweet story

Fang Yu’s aunt is the local matchmaker, and she finds her niece the best match around: Huo Tingnian, a 33-year-old cardiothoracic surgeon at Yuncheng City Hospital who has never married.

His family is in a hurry to have grandchildren.

His parents don’t ask much of a daughter-in-law: she should be obedient, devoted to the family, and fertile. It’d be even better if she had a cheerful-looking face.

After their birth charts are found compatible, Fang Yu and Huo Tingnian register their marriage and move from the village into an apartment in the city.

She remembers that she married into the family to have children for Huo Tingnian.

The people in her village say wide hips make childbirth easier.

She plans to have three children for Huo Tingnian.
