· Lin Yang (a botanist and graduate student who transmigrated from the apocalypse)
· Lu Chen (a mercenary with collapsing genes, once a top tactical commander)
In his previous life, Lin Yang was a graduate student in botany. His biggest worry was that he couldn't get his papers published.
When he opened his eyes, he had transmigrated into an apocalyptic wasteland, where radiation was everywhere and clean water cost lives. Farming? Forget it.
Even more absurdly, he went and picked up a mercenary who was on the verge of death. The man's name was Lu Chen. His genes were collapsing, and he was out of breath just walking. He was completely useless, and on top of that, he and Lin Yang were...
Lin Yang looked at his last half-bar of ration and half a bottle of purified water. Had he picked up a teammate, or some demanding ancestor?

But the man huddled in the corner, watching him with an expression Lin Yang couldn't read, and said hoarsely,

This is my first time reading a wasteland novel with two male protagonists. It's good.
It's so beautiful, but it's a pity that I can't see it anymore
