Bai Yi didn’t seem to have noticed. He still looked asleep, so Lin Shu grew even bolder, scratching his chin one moment and rubbing his paws the next.
Suddenly, she felt a gaze fixed squarely on her. She turned her head slightly and saw that the pale golden eyes, which had been closed, were now open.
When she turned to look at him, unmistakable mischief gleamed in those golden eyes. His pupils deliberately and slowly widened.
Lin Shu immediately understood, growing somewhat exasperated. “You were awake all along! Why were you pretending to sleep?”
“If closing my eyes counts as pretending to sleep, then I have nothing to say.” Bai Yi closed his eyes, looking like a martyr facing certain death.
I like it. It's very warm. I hope there won't be any cruel stories later.
I really recommend watching it, it's a super healing work. The main characters are all lovable and it reads like a comic. 😘
