A rift in the heavens opens over Changshan at the end of the Han dynasty. Mutants besiege the isolated city of Zhending, where only battered soldiers, refugees, and fifteen days' worth of provisions remain. Modern-day Lin Jin takes over the isolated city's System and must make choices about food, water, contamination, and the monstrous hordes. He awakens generals through military achievements and rebuilds the city's defenses with hope points. Zhao Yun has yet to make a name for himself, Han Que holds the north gate to the death, and Shen Zhen tends to the wounded. If the isolated city falls, humanity will have nowhere left to retreat.
