[No romance + strong female lead + family-focused healing + comedy + episodic stories]
[Pure indulgent fun]
[Despair-inducing ghost king big sister VS healing, loyal puppy younger brother]
Ye Shuling is the 9,999th curator of the Museum of the Supernatural.
Fifteen years ago, to avenge her family’s slaughter, she sold her life to the previous curator. Since then, she has been neither human nor ghost.
Her only younger brother would be plagued by misfortune if he came near her, so she sent him back to the human world and named him Ye Ping’an.
She wished for him to live every day of his life in peace.
Fifteen years later, Ye Shuling becomes a ghost king at the cost of half her human body. But the final heavenly thunderbolt shatters the museum’s seal, and its supernatural artifacts escape en masse, wreaking havoc on the human world.
She has no choice but to return to the mortal realm, retrieve the artifacts, and clean up the mess.
The moment she lands, she runs into the boy she sent away.
Wasn’t he supposed to forget everything from his past life after drinking Granny Meng’s soup?
Then why does he call her “Sis” the moment he opens his mouth?
From then on, the boy becomes an inescapable nuisance, clinging stubbornly to her side.
Rumors spread throughout the supernatural world: the ghost king has taken on a mortal sidekick who suffers bad luck eight hundred times a day.
Ye Ping’an doesn’t notice a thing. Every day, he cheerfully trots over to report for duty.
“Sis, look! I collected three different kinds of bird poop today! Impressive, right?”
“Sis, want some barbecue? I just grilled it. No bird poop got on it, I swear!”
Ye Shuling: “I’m a ghost, not a person.”
Ye Ping’an: “Ghosts are made of iron, food is made of steel. If you want to be strong, you have to eat a couple of bites! Come on, open wide. Ah!”
Retrieve the artifacts, retrieve her little brother.
The warmth she once didn’t dare reach for is something she will never let go of this time.
In my personal opinion, the emotional line of this book is handled very well, the characters are distinct and distinctive, and the plot is to my liking. That Buddha bullet really touches people's hearts. The love of the country is really a fashion item that never goes out of style (*ෆ´ ˘ `ෆ*) ♡ Great cheers for the author!!
Super cool, good luck to the author!
