The World Resets Every Twelve Hours, but I’m the Only One Who Endures

[First published online]

Earth is an emotional farm where higher-dimensional beings raise humanity, caught in an endless twelve-hour time loop.

Everyone's sorrow, obsession, and pain are nothing but nourishment for those above.

After dying horribly seven times in the loop, Lin Ye stumbles into the second layer of a memory illusion. He nearly gets selected by the System and imprisoned forever as the new farm owner.

Su Wan, who has endured a thousand cycles alone, tells him the only way to escape the harvest is to forget each other completely.

Neither is willing to sever their bond. Together, they devise a method to calm their minds and break into the harvesting zone, where they confront the original core, trapped in a state where it can neither live nor die.

Destroying the core would kill them both. Taking its place would mean becoming an emotional vessel forever.

They refuse to choose either dead end. Instead, they lay a grand switcheroo, posing as System batteries and feigning obedience while secretly hollowing out the entire farm.

With the time loop as their wager and their devotion as their blade, the two prisoners join forces to deceive higher-dimensional beings, swearing to overthrow the system that harvests all living things.
