A Guide to The Code of Civilization
Zhu Jianming, head of the prosperous Ding Sheng Group, had served in the military in his youth. A born genius in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, he built an entire industrial chain spanning machinery, chemicals, mining, and infrastructure, amassing a vast fortune. But after two consecutive blind dates, gold-digging women mocked him in public for his humble background and found fault with his prospects. Just as he was brooding over it, an accident struck, and he suddenly transmigrated to the chaotic Ming Dynasty. His billions and sprawling corporate empire were left behind; all his money was worthless, while his subordinates, friends, and family vanished. He was left with wealth he couldn't spend and all his old companions gone.
The novel has three central protagonists: Zhu Jianming, a transmigrated tycoon armed with a complete knowledge of modern industry; Song Yingxing, a master of every craft; and Li Yan, a man devoted to the people and skilled at governing and commanding troops. Brought together by fate, the three join forces to establish themselves in Huguang. Zhu Jianming draws on his advanced knowledge, Song Yingxing contributes his expertise in local manufacturing, and Li Yan uses his exceptional skill at rallying refugees. Together, they clear wasteland and cultivate fields, build factories and smelters, and develop new machinery. They take a hard line against corrupt officials, local tyrants, and arrogant nobles, delivering one face-slapping victory after another. As they steadily build their resources, open up inland waterways, and prepare ocean-going ships to explore and expand overseas, they use industrial might far ahead of its time to break the Ming Dynasty's deep-rooted problems. In the end, they sail across the seas, expand their territory, and forge a vast empire that commands awe throughout the world.
The story is exciting and innovative
A good book with a delicate plot, not a mindless and angry time travel novel.
