My new work is out! Welcome to read it on Tomato Novel.
The San Houzi family was the only household in the village with their surname, and they were often bullied. The Liu Shuigeng family was a prominent clan in the village, and the two families frequently clashed.
Liu Shuigeng beat San Houzi to death and dumped his body in a pond under cover of darkness. The Dragon King of the pond revealed San Houzi’s true origins: he had once been one of the three multicolored stones left behind after the goddess Nuwa repaired the sky. The eldest, Sun Xingzhe, cultivated on Flower and Fruit Mountain. The second, the Six-Eared Macaque, cultivated on [a certain mountain]. You, the smallest spirit stone, were discarded at Liangshan Marsh. You are the third, known by the Buddhist name Eight-Life Spirit Child, and were born with eight lives. With cultivation, you can be reborn as many as twelve times.
San Houzi learned to draw talismans and built a temple to the Spirit Child. He dealt with villains and helped villagers with their illnesses. The wicked Liu Shuigeng repeatedly tried to frame him, and even built a temple of his own, called the Temple of Universal Salvation. The two men each called upon various deities from the immortal realms, hell, and elsewhere, clashing again and again.
Whenever San Houzi reached the peak of his power, Liu Shuigeng was sure to show up and make trouble. The two matched wits and fought fiercely, but in the end, evil never triumphs over good. Thanks to his extraordinary abilities, San Houzi emerged victorious.
