Grave Robbing in a Chaotic Age: Exorcising Ghosts and Subduing the Undead in the Sui and Tang Dynasties

The story takes place at the end of the Sui dynasty and the beginning of the Tang. In this age of chaos, the living aren't the only thing to fear. On the surface, this world is history, but in its shadows runs a hidden underworld:

The tomb-raiding lineage: Looting tombs for wealth, they understand mechanisms, tomb design, and dragon veins.

The occult Daoist sects: They capture ghosts and subdue corpses, set up formations, perform rituals, and use talismans to drive away evil.

The feng shui masters and Yin-Yang practitioners: They seek dragon veins and auspicious sites, alter homes and borrow fortune, and can also harm people.

The sinister corpse cultivators: They raise corpses, drive them, and use them to return the dead to life.

Warlords' retainers: They handle dirty work for the feudal lords, digging up tombs for treasure and harnessing baleful energy to kill their enemies.

The hidden branches of noble families: Outwardly refined, they secretly enshrine Yin Soldiers and draw fortune from their ancestral graves.
