The play is adapted from Qiong Yao's novel "Yilian Meng", which tells the story of two sisters of the Wang family, Wang Luping and Wang Ziling, who fell in love with Chu Lian, the eldest son of the Chu family, but Chu Lian fell in love with Ziling, whom no one expected. The sweet love between the two was lost in Lu Ping's car accident, and Chu Lian married Lu Ping out of responsibility. The heartbroken Zi Ling followed Fei Yunfan, who was 19 years older than herself, to marry overseas. Fei Yunfan tried his best to help Ziling adapt to the new environment and start a new life. When Luping accidentally discovered the love between Chu Lian and Zi Ling, her peaceful life was broken.
