But to everyone's surprise, Chu Lian loves Ziling. Their sweet romance comes to an end in a car accident involving Lvp ping, and Chu Lian marries her out of a sense of duty. Heartbroken, Ziling marries Fei Yunfan, who is nineteen years her senior, and moves overseas. Fei Yunfan does everything he can to help Ziling adjust to her new surroundings and start a new life. When Lvp ping accidentally discovers that Chu Lian and Ziling were once in love, their peaceful lives are shattered.
