After My Knees Were Shattered, My Family Fell Apart

Lu Yanzhou is a rising star in the tech world, but to his family of origin, he’s nothing more than their most lowly ATM. He’s blindly obedient to his parents, granting their every request, yet cold and harsh toward his wife, Su Nian. He lets his mother take his salary card, forces his pregnant wife to give up their marital home, and even chooses his younger brother without hesitation when both his wife and brother get into trouble, causing Su Nian to miscarry and lose the ability to have children. Even so, Su Nian still clings to one last scrap of hope for their marriage. Until one afternoon, she signs the divorce papers and leaves in despair, carrying their unborn child. As she makes one last desperate call to Lu Yanzhou for help, she gets into a car accident, killing both herself and the baby. At that very moment, a call from his mother demanding money arrives before news of his wife’s death. Lu Yanzhou’s “awakening” begins with the ringing of a phone outside the morgue. Clutching Su Nian’s ashes and diary, he sets out on a blood-soaked path of atonement and revenge.
