Lin Kai transmigrates to the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty and binds himself to a super supermarket System that supplies an unlimited quantity of goods.

On opening day, a five-year-old girl as adorable as a carved doll tumbles through the door and clings to his leg, crying that she’s hungry.

“Big Bro, Xizi’s tummy is rumbling...”

He searches the shelves and hands her a strawberry-flavored lollipop. Little Xizi gives it a lick, and her eyes light up. “My tongue’s going to fall off!”

From then on, this supermarket, known to the people of the Tang Dynasty as the “Immortal Shop,” has a new mascot: a sweet little girl with a babyish voice.

Li Shimin refuses to leave after getting a bowl of braised beef noodles. Empress Zhangsun tries the moisturizer and is amazed, while Cheng Yaojin clutches his bottle of Erguotou and won’t let go.

Xizi, meanwhile, just rides on Lin Kai’s shoulders, calling “ice cream” “icy-icy cream.”

She calls hot pot “fire-fire pot,” and when she has a lisp, all of Chang’an starts imitating her and calling the supermarket “super four.”

“Big Bro,” she whispers in his ear. “Will you stay with Xizi forever?”

“Of course I’ll stay with little Xizi forever!”

“Pinky swear, cross your heart. Don’t change for ten thousand years.”

The lights of Chang’an’s West Market come on one by one. The shadows of the big one and the little one fall across the crooked sign that reads “Super Four.”
